Prosecution sources from Libya’s investigative committee have claimed that 19 bullets were found lodged in the body of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, according to statements broadcast on Friday by Al-Masar Television.

The sources said the weapon allegedly used in the incident was a Kalashnikov rifle, adding that one of the bullets reportedly entered above the left eyebrow and exited from the back of the head. Based on forensic assessments cited by the committee, the time of death was determined to be 5:57 p.m. on Tuesday, Libya local time.

According to the same accounts, security personnel assigned to protect the perimeter of Gaddafi’s residence allegedly withdrew approximately an hour and a half before the incident, for reasons that remain unclear and under investigation.

The sources further stated that a WhatsApp number registered in Serbia was being used by Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, based on a mobile phone later found in the possession of his companion, identified as Ahmed Al-Ajmi Al-Attri.

Investigators reportedly found no African national present inside the house at the time of the incident. The sources also noted that internal surveillance cameras were operational, but were linked to the mobile phone of another individual located outside the city of Zintan, described as someone close to Gaddafi.

The parliamentary investigation committee has not yet released an official report, and no judicial authority has independently confirmed the claims. The circumstances surrounding the incident, including security arrangements and digital communications, remain subject to ongoing inquiry.
