Libya is preparing to launch the seventh edition of its annual Libya Food Exhibition 2026, with the participation of 98 international companies, in a move aimed at boosting trade, investment, and growth in the country’s food industry.
The event will be held at the Tripoli International Fairgrounds from March 29 to April 1, bringing together leading local, regional, and global players in the food sector.
Final Preparations Underway in Tripoli
Chairman of the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, Essam Al-Oul, conducted a field visit to inspect final preparations at the exhibition venue. He was accompanied by Tripoli International Fair Director Shukri Al-Tayeb and Haitham Qarwash, Executive Director of Al-Dawliya Company, the event organiser.
The delegation reviewed the readiness of exhibition halls, company booths, and dedicated spaces for business-to-business (B2B) meetings and workshops scheduled alongside the event.
Platform for Trade and Investment Growth
Officials highlighted the strategic importance of the Libya Food Exhibition as a key economic platform that connects major domestic and international companies. The exhibition is supported by Libya’s Ministry of Economy and Trade under the Government of National Unity, alongside the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences.
This year’s edition features broad international participation, with companies from 14 countries joining more than 100 Libyan firms specialising in food industries, factory equipment, production lines, restaurant and café supplies, and packaging technologies.
Boosting Libya’s Food Industry
The Libya Food Exhibition is regarded as one of the most significant specialised trade events in North Africa, offering companies an opportunity to showcase the latest innovations in food production, processing, and packaging.
The event is expected to strengthen commercial partnerships, attract foreign investment, and facilitate knowledge transfer into the Libyan market, supporting the development of the country’s food sector.
As Libya continues efforts to diversify its economy, the exhibition is set to play a key role in enhancing international cooperation and expanding opportunities within the food and manufacturing industries.
