Libya’s coastal city of Benghazi is preparing to host the third edition of the MENA Medical Expo 2026, with an official opening scheduled at 11:00 am on Monday at Expo Libya. The event is expected to attract wide local and international participation, positioning it as one of the country’s leading healthcare gatherings.
Scientific activities for the first day will begin at 1:00 pm and continue until 7:00 pm. Over the following three days, sessions will run from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, offering a comprehensive programme that blends academic discussion with practical application in line with global healthcare developments.
The event will bring together a diverse group of experts and specialists from Libya and abroad, alongside strong Arab and international representation. A large number of national, regional, and global medical companies will also take part, showcasing the latest technologies, solutions, and healthcare services. Organisers say the exhibition aims to enhance knowledge exchange and support the development of Libya’s healthcare sector.
Alongside the exhibition, a dedicated scientific forum will feature seminars, panel discussions, and workshops involving universities, hospitals, research centres, and specialised institutions. These sessions will focus on the latest advancements in disease diagnosis and treatment, as well as innovative approaches to improving healthcare quality and strengthening medical capacity.
The programme also includes several parallel initiatives, such as the “MENA Medical Clinic”, offering health check-ups for visitors, and “MENA Medical Talks”, designed for medical students. In addition, a business leaders forum will explore investment opportunities in the healthcare sector, reflecting a growing focus on integrating scientific progress with economic development.
The expo highlights Libya’s ongoing efforts to modernise its healthcare system and expand international cooperation.
