The Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Güven Begeç, has inspected a number of reconstruction and development projects in Benghazi, during a field tour with the General Director of the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, Belgasem Haftar.
The tour included several major projects being carried out by Turkish companies as part of ongoing efforts to rebuild infrastructure and support development in the city.
During the visit, Begeç and Haftar reviewed work on the development of roads and bridges in the Jeliana area. They also inspected progress on the Sports City project, where they were briefed on completion rates, implementation stages, and working mechanisms.
The visit reflects the growing cooperation between the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund and Turkish companies involved in infrastructure and construction projects across the country.
It also underlines the role of foreign companies in supporting Libya’s reconstruction drive, particularly in Benghazi, where major development projects are underway to improve roads, public facilities, and urban services.
The Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund has been overseeing a wide range of projects aimed at improving infrastructure, supporting economic activity, and strengthening public services in several Libyan cities.
The involvement of Turkish firms in these projects points to expanding economic and technical cooperation between Libya and Turkey, especially in the construction, infrastructure, and development sectors.
