The Libyan National Army (LNA) and France have held fresh discussions aimed at strengthening military cooperation and expanding coordination in training, professional development, and defense-related fields.
The talks took place at the General Command headquarters in Benghazi, where Secretary-General of the LNA General Command Khairy Al-Tamimi received French Ambassador to Libya Thierry Vallat and the Deputy French Military Attaché.
The meeting forms part of ongoing consultations between the two sides on issues of mutual interest and reflects continued engagement between Libya and France on military and security matters.
According to information released following the meeting, both sides discussed several areas of bilateral military cooperation, with particular emphasis on enhancing training programs, improving military qualifications, and facilitating the exchange of expertise between Libyan and French institutions.
The discussions also focused on mechanisms for developing existing partnerships and expanding opportunities for coordination in areas that support professional military development. Officials explored ways to strengthen cooperation through technical assistance, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and programs designed to improve operational capabilities.
