Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) has emerged as the dominant contributor at Petro Africa 2026, with the corporation and its affiliated companies presenting more than 70 percent of all scientific papers showcased during the major energy event in Tunisia.

According to the NOC, a total of 103 scientific papers are being presented throughout the exhibition, with Libyan researchers and specialists responsible for the majority of the contributions.

The strong participation underscores Libya’s growing emphasis on research, innovation, and technological development within the oil and gas industry.

The papers address a broad range of topics critical to the future of the energy sector, including oil and gas exploration, production operations, refining technologies, environmental protection, renewable energy development, and the use of artificial intelligence in the petroleum industry.

Petro Africa 2026 has attracted energy companies, institutions, industry leaders, and technical experts from across Africa and beyond, providing a platform for exchanging knowledge, discussing industry challenges, and exploring future investment opportunities.

As part of its participation, the National Oil Corporation has also established an interactive exhibition pavilion designed to showcase Libya’s energy potential and promote investment opportunities in the country’s oil and gas sector.

The display provides visitors with information on major projects, development plans, and strategic initiatives being implemented by the corporation and its subsidiaries.

The event offers Libya an opportunity to highlight recent developments in its energy industry and strengthen its presence within regional and international markets. It also allows Libyan experts to engage directly with counterparts from other countries and contribute to discussions on the future of energy production and technological innovation.
