The Libyan Attorney General’s Office issued an arrest warrant for the Director of the Central Bank of Libya’s (CBL) Governor’s office, Abdel-Latif Al-Tunisi.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Attorney General’s Office also ordered the arrest of the Chairman of Afriqiyah Airways, Mustafa Matoug. He is charged with corruption and mishandling of public funds.

This is a part of a wider arrest campaign against corrupt public officials. It came after the Head of the Investigations Department at the Attorney General’s Office, Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, confirmed that the CBL and the Investment Corporation were under investigation.
