A delegation from the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority visited the headquarters of Benina International Airport in Benghazi. They inspected the airports’ flight mechanisms, and the steps needed to resume travel procedures with Cairo.

The Egyptian delegation was received by the Assistant Director-General of Benina International Airport, the Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs, a number of office managers in the airport administration, in addition to the Director of Airport Security.

The delegation expressed its satisfaction with the procedures in place, and praised the remarkable improvement compared to their previous visit in 2017.

In April, Egypt and Libya agreed to resume flights between the two countries’ capitals. Interim Prime Minister, Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba announced the resumption of air traffic at a press conference with his Egyptian counterpart, Mostafa Madbouly in Tripoli.
