On Saturday, Egypt won the Mini-Football African Cup of Nations (Mini AFCON) after beating Libya 1-0 in the final match in the Nigerian city of Ibadan.

However, Libya secured a place in the Mini-Football World Cup, which Ukraine will host next August with a dominating 6-0 win over Burkina Faso in the African Cup quarter-finals.

Libya beat Ghana 2-0 on penalties in the semi-finals as the original time ended with a 2-2 draw.

The AFCON Mini-Football Cup is a continental indoor mini-football competition. Senior men’s national teams of the members of African Mini-Football Federation (AMF) compete in it. The first edition of the tournament was held in Libya in May 2018.
