The Ministry of Health of Libya’s Government of National Accord (GNA) has announced that it has prepared the Libyan Navy ship ‘Ibn Auf’ with medical equipment so it can receive Covid-19 patients.
Ibn Auf is docked at the port of Tripoli.
The Ministry also announced the preparation of four medical centers in Tripoli. Medical centers will also be set up in other cities as a precautionary measure, should more cases emerge throughout the country.
On Monday, the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announced that Libya’s first COVID-19 patient had recovered and would be discharged from the hospital.
The NCDC also announced that a new case was recorded in Libya. This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in Libya to nineteen, including one death from complications caused by the virus.
