The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has approved three Libyan stadiums to host its continental competitions during the new season, marking another step forward for Libyan football’s return to the international stage.
The newly updated list of CAF-approved venues includes Tripoli International Stadium, Benghazi International Stadium and Martyrs of Benina Stadium.
The approval allows the three venues to host CAF club and international competitions, subject to competition regulations and match scheduling.
The decision reflects continued progress in upgrading Libya’s football infrastructure and meeting CAF’s stadium requirements, providing Libyan clubs and national teams with more opportunities to play home matches inside the country.
The inclusion of three certified stadiums is expected to strengthen Libya’s position in African football while reducing the need for clubs and national teams to stage home fixtures abroad.
