On Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Accord (GNA) announced the arrival of a Chinese medical shipment to Tripoli.

In a statement, the ministry’s media office stated that the shipment includes medical supplies and protective equipment to help the country in its fight against the coronavirus epidemic, explaining that the shipment has been delivered in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Crisis Committee.

It added that the shipment will be distributed to the country’s healthcare units to be used by doctors in facing the deadly virus.

The office indicated that the ministry will continue its efforts to provide all needed health supplies and medical equipment across Libya to ensure the success of national efforts in facing the epidemic.

The ministry indicated that the shipment comes at the initiative of China’s Jack Ma Foundation and under the supervision of the African Union and the Ethiopian Prime Minister.
