On Monday, Tunisia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Noureddine El-Ray, held a telephone conversation with his German counterpart, Heiko Maas, to discuss a number of regional and international issues, including the situation in Libya.

During the call, the two ministers reaffirmed the need to find a political solution that would bring an end to the conflict, guarantee the unity and stability of Libya.

The two sides also discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Tunisia and Germany, and push for greater strategic partnership in various fields.

El-Ray valued the cooperation showed by Germany in facing economic challenges, especially in light of the threat posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic.
