On Saturday, the Benghazi Supreme Committee to Combat Coronavirus announced that all stranded Libyans returning from abroad have been placed in a mandatory 14 day-quarantine, adding that this is part of the state’s precautionary measures aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus inside Libya.

On its part, the Benghazi municipality said that all nationals returning from abroad have been quarantined under the medical supervision of the health services office, in a number of hotels including Tebesty, Al Masa, Al Raha, Benghazi and Al Najma. The municipality added that all services will be provided to the returnees during the quarantine period.

On Thursday, two flights carrying a number of stranded nationals from Jordan landed at Benina International Airport in Benghazi.

The committee also announced that they have completed all health measures related to quarantine procedures and medical analyses.

It is noteworthy that 377 Libyan citizens, who were stranded in Egypt, have been discharged from their 14-day mandatory quarantine and are allowed to return to their homes and families after their medical analyses proved negative to the deadly virus.
