The head of the Supreme Committee to Combat Coronavirus in Benghazi, Adel Abdulaziz, requested on Monday, all the security and military services of the joint security chamber to enforce the precautionary measures issued by the Supreme Committee for Combating Coronavirus affiliated with the Libyan interim Government.
In a statement, the media office of the committee indicated that the Supreme Committee called for the closure of all commercial stores, and the follow-up of implementing the precautionary measures in foodstuff, general grocery and butcher stores such as ensuring prices are not manipulated, social distancing is practiced and that all are closed before curfew starts at 6 p.m.
The committee also called for the closure of all sports clubs, hairdressers, beauty salons, youth centres, restaurants and cafes that have violated the curfew, emphasising that continued violations will be met with legal repercussions.
