On Monday, Libya’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced the recovery of four COVID-19 cases.

It added that the most recent batch of 83 suspected samples had all tested negative for the virus.

The NCDC reported that the total number of confirmed cases in the country had reached 64, with 33 active cases under medical observation.

Libya’s death toll due to complications from the virus stands at 3 people.

“Up to 28 cases have successfully recovered so far in the country,” the NCDC said in its statement.

Several Arab countries have tightened restrictions on movement and travel in order to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Billions of dollars have been pledged in economic stimulus programs across the globe to reduce the economic repercussions of the crisis.
