The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al-Siddiq Omar Al-Kabeer, met with his Turkish counterpart, Murat Uysal on Friday.

According to a statement from the Central Bank of Libya, the meeting dealt with joint files “to serve the interests of both countries.”

The statement indicated that Al-Kabeer also held a meeting in Istanbul with the Turkish Minister of Finance and Treasury Berat Albayrak, in which the files of common interest were discussed.

Earlier this month, Al-Kabeer discussed, with a delegation from the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) headed by Yacoub El Hillo, humanitarian issues and financial difficulties facing the displaced in Libya in light of the current situation regarding the spread of Coronavirus epidemic.
