The Libyan Ambulance and Emergency Service in Kufra announced on Friday the death of four Sudanese nationals following a car accident in the Al-Awainat area south of Kufra.
The accident also resulted in injuries to four others who sustained fractures, according to a statement on the service’s Facebook page.
A response team was dispatched to the scene to assist the injured and transport them to the “Martyr Atiya Alkaseh” Teaching Hospital in Kufra. Earlier this month, the same hospital received 10 Sudanese refugees injured in a separate car accident southeast of the city.
A statement posted on the hospital’s official Facebook page on Friday evening detailed that the emergency department treated the injured, which included four women, four men, and two children.
The statement also mentioned another incident where two Libyan men were admitted following a traffic accident. Among the 12 cases, five suffered fractures, while the others had bruises and minor injuries.
