The Chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), Farhat Bengdara, held discussions with executives from Eni, TotalEnergies, Repsol, and Wintershall during the Libya Energy Week.

The talks centered on expanding partnerships in oil exploration, production, and refining.

According to a statement by the NOC’s media office on Wednesday, Bengdara announced plans to soon launch a public bidding round for exploration opportunities that have been dormant for over 17 years.

He encouraged the companies to increase their investments in Libya.

Bengdara inaugurated the 5th Libya Energy Week on Tuesday, featuring over 28 representatives from major global energy companies and organisations.

The event also included participation from local companies, NOC board members, general managers, and experts, along with attendees from Libya, the Arab world, and beyond.
