Libyan HoR President Discusses Measures to Address Coronavirus

The President of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR), Ageela Saleh, received Minister of Health Dr. Saad Agoub on Saturday to discuss measures to combat COVID-19 (commonly known as Coronavirus).

Abdelhamid al-Safi, media advisor to the HoR President, said that Saleh is observing all precautionary measures to confront the deadly virus.

He added that Saleh praised the role played by the Ministry of Health and the Interim Government for taking effective measures to protect the Libyan people from the Coronavirus pandemic.

Minister Agoub said that no cases of Coronavirus have been detected in Libya, adding that all precautionary measures are being deployed by the competent authorities.

Agoub also confirmed that some of the equipment and devices that will help in fighting the virus will be available today at the Ministry.
