The Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, met on Sunday with Paul Soler, the French President’s Special Envoy to Libya.
During the meeting, Soler conveyed greetings from French President Emmanuel Macron to Haftar and the Libyan people, emphasising France’s commitment to Libya’s unity and stability.
He reaffirmed France’s support for efforts aimed at advancing the political process in the country.
The French envoy praised Haftar’s role in fostering security and stability in Libya, expressing France’s willingness to contribute to reconstruction projects and infrastructure development.
Haftar, in turn, acknowledged France’s pivotal role in backing international efforts to resolve Libya’s prolonged crisis.
He highlighted the importance of continued cooperation to support the United Nations Mission’s initiatives for advancing the political process and achieving stability across Libya.
