The Acting Chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), Engineer Masoud Suleiman, held a high-level meeting today at the corporation’s headquarters in Tripoli. The session gathered directors from key departments, including production, maintenance engineering, reserve development, and drilling, as well as executives from NOC-affiliated oil companies.

The meeting assessed the challenges and obstacles that affected oil fields, ports, and company operations in implementing the 2024 plan. A comprehensive evaluation of last year’s performance was conducted to identify key lessons for the year ahead.

Discussions also focused on the corporation’s strategic roadmap for 2025. Participants proposed solutions to overcome past challenges, aiming to enhance productivity and meet the corporation’s ambitious targets for the year.

Engineer Suleiman emphasised the importance of maintaining the same momentum and dedication that employees demonstrated in 2024, which led to significant achievements and exceeded expectations. He urged the relevant authorities to ensure adequate financial resources are allocated to meet the corporation’s 2025 objectives.

He also stressed the need to prioritise employee welfare, adhere to the highest safety standards, and reduce emissions by implementing advanced and efficient technologies.
