Libyan Wings Airlines announced on Saturday that two flights—one from Mitiga to Tunis and another from Tunis to Mitiga—were cancelled due to an incident involving one of its aircraft at Istanbul Airport.

In a statement, the airline explained that the cancellations were necessary after the aircraft collided with birds while stationed at the Turkish airport. The incident prompted a full technical inspection and maintenance procedures to ensure flight safety.

The airline confirmed that the affected flights were rescheduled and that passengers were informed via email and phone as soon as the new schedules were confirmed. The updated timetable will be published on the company’s official website and social media channels within an hour.

Libyan Wings apologised for any inconvenience caused by the cancellations and encouraged passengers to contact its customer service team for further assistance.

The airline reiterated its commitment to passenger safety and operational efficiency, stating that all necessary measures were taken to prevent future disruptions.
