Parliamentary Energy Committee Denounces Former British Ambassador’s Statements Against Ageela Saleh

Head of the Libyan Parliamentary Energy Committee, Issa Al-Uraibi, denounced statements made by the former British Ambassador to Libya, Peter Militt.

Militt who is currently an advisor to the Libyan Investment Authority, verbally attacked the Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, Ageela Saleh.

Al-Uraibi rejected Militt’s statements, claiming they “do not represent the great, and friendly Britain, but rather represent the investment institution affiliated with the Government of National Accord (GNA), given that the former British Ambassador to Libya receives his salaries from it as an advisor.”

Al-Uraibi stressed that the Libyan people and the parliament are moving towards peace, stability, development and a just unity. This is represented in the initiative proposed by Saleh, in order to end the crisis.
