The Ajdabiya Institute of Oil Sciences held a meeting with representatives of Schlumberger (SLB) and the General Department of Training at the National Oil Corporation (NOC) to discuss the implementation of a new localized training initiative.

FAST TRACK Training Program

According to the NOC’s media office, the two sides reviewed mechanisms to launch the FAST TRACK Program, aimed at strengthening local capacity building and advancing skills development in Libya’s oil sector. The program is scheduled to begin in October 2025 at the Ajdabiya Institute.

Field Visit Planned

As part of the preparations, both parties agreed to carry out a field visit to the institute in the coming weeks. The visit will assess laboratory readiness and finalize the necessary arrangements to ensure the program’s smooth launch.

The collaboration reflects broader efforts by the NOC and its international partners to localize training programs, reduce reliance on foreign expertise, and empower Libyan professionals in the energy sector.
