The Director-General of Libya’s National Development Authority, Mahmoud Milad Al-Farjani, held an extensive meeting with Istanbul Governor Davut Gül to discuss prospects for cooperation in public facilities management, modern urban planning, and infrastructure development. The talks were held at the governor’s palace following an official invitation from the Istanbul authorities.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed opportunities for technical exchange in operating public facilities and enhancing service quality. The delegation explored Istanbul’s advanced experience in urban organization, major project management, and the use of modern planning models to improve city services and long-term development efficiency.
Al-Farjani underlined the importance of strengthening professional coordination between Libyan and Turkish institutions to support the transfer of successful urban development practices to Libya. He stressed that expanded cooperation would help accelerate future projects aligned with national sustainable development priorities.
Governor Gül affirmed Istanbul’s readiness to support joint initiatives that improve facility performance, increase operational efficiency, and elevate the standard of public services. He noted that the city stands open to deeper institutional partnerships aimed at advancing infrastructure, planning techniques, and municipal service management.
Both sides agreed to continue working on opening new channels of cooperation between their technical bodies, with the shared goal of strengthening institutional development and supporting modern approaches to infrastructure planning across Libya.
