Libya’s Brega Petroleum Marketing Company has held a new round of meetings as part of its ongoing preparations for the 2026 operational plan. The session took place on Sunday in the main conference hall on Omar Al-Mukhtar Street, following directives from Chairman Fouad Al-Balreheem. The meeting was chaired by Board Member and Head of the Planning Oversight Committee, Engineer Abdelrahman Al-Obaidi.
This latest session focused on the Human Resources departments, with discussions centred on reviewing the objectives and performance indicators of the 2025 operational plan. Participants also examined the methodology for preparing the 2026 plan, evaluating the proposed goals for both HR units and defining key performance indicators to measure progress toward the company’s strategic targets next year.
The meeting included a presentation on the company’s monitoring and performance evaluation system, with an emphasis on how departments can utilise the platform to track progress and enhance accountability. Attendees also reviewed proposed initiatives and their alignment with the company’s broader strategy for improving efficiency, workforce development, and operational readiness across all sectors.
Engineer Al-Obaidi stressed the importance of adhering to the established timetable to complete the 2026 operational plan. He urged all departments to maintain accuracy, clarity, and objectivity when drafting initiatives and performance indicators, ensuring that each component directly supports the company’s strategic goals. He noted that disciplined planning and transparent performance measurement are essential to achieving the company’s ambitions and securing a successful year ahead.
The ongoing series of meetings reflects Brega’s commitment to institutional development, operational modernisation, and improved performance management. By involving multiple departments in the planning process, the company aims to strengthen coordination, optimise resources, and adopt a results-driven approach to its future operations. As Libya’s energy sector continues to undergo restructuring and modernisation efforts, Brega’s proactive planning signals a drive toward greater efficiency and long-term stability.
