Libya’s General Authority for Hajj and Umrah has announced the start of the return of early-departing Libyan pilgrims from Mina to their accommodation in Mecca, as Hajj operations continue under the approved transport and crowd-management plans.
The authority said around 60% of Libyan pilgrims who chose to leave Mina early departed the site on Friday after completing the ritual of stoning the pillars, one of the final rites of the Hajj pilgrimage.
It added that the transfer of the remaining pilgrims from their camps in Mina to their hotels in Mecca is continuing on Saturday, following the completion of their rituals and the stoning of the pillars.
The authority said the process is being carried out according to organised grouping and transport plans designed to ensure smooth movement, reduce congestion, and protect the safety of pilgrims during their return journey.
The return from Mina to Mecca marks one of the final stages of Hajj for many pilgrims, after days spent performing the main rituals in the holy sites. Libyan Hajj officials have continued to monitor transportation, accommodation, and field services to ensure pilgrims complete their journey safely.
