Samuel Warburg, the Regional Spokesman for the US State Department said that the United States rejects all foreign interference in Libya.

Warburg pointed out that US President, Donald Trump, stressed that it is essential that the solution to the Libyan crisis, comes internally. He added that, “There is an agreement between the US, and Egyptian visions, of the necessity of resolving the crisis between the parties without interference.”

Warburg thanked Egypt for hosting recent security talks, between the warring parties. He stressed that Egypt played an important role in preserving the security, and stability of Libya.

On Tuesday, the United Nations Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), headed by Stephanie Williams, said that these face to face talks have given way to a set of important recommendations. The talks were held between security and military delegations, representing both the Government of National Accord (GNA), and the Libyan National Army (LNA), under the auspices of the UN.
