On Tuesday, the political official of the Libyan National Struggle Front, Ahmed Gaddaf Al-Dam, announced that he would sue former US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. The charges he claimed were for spreading destruction, and supporting terrorism in Libya.

In an interview with Russian news agency Sputnik, the cousin of late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi said that he had assigned his legal team to sue Mrs. Clinton. Gaddaf Al-Dam added that he provided the legal team with documents not released by the US State Department, in order to prosecute Clinton. No further details were released, and it is not clear where the lawsuit will be filed.

Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State under President Barack Obama, when NATO intervened in the Libyan Civil War in 2011. Hundreds of emails have been recently made public on the US state administration website.

Clinton’s private email server usage was questionned by President Trump, during the 2016 presidential campaign. He claimed that Clinton should be tried for these emails. On 7 October, Trump said that he authorized the declassification of the emails, describing it as a “crime” in America’s history.

“I have fully authorized the total declassification of any & all documents pertaining to the single greatest political CRIME in American History, the Russia Hoax. Likewise, the Hillary Clinton Email Scandal. No redactions!”, Trump had tweeted about the emails’ declassification.
