The head of the Joint Libyan-Egyptian Economic Chamber, Ibrahim Al-Jarari, called on all Libyan merchants to boycott Turkish goods.

In his statement, Al-Jarari said that the Turkish government has wreaked havoc on Libya. According to him, Ankara has sent mercenaries and terrorists to the country, and is attempting to control the Libyan economy.

Al-Jarari pointed out that Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the UAE have boycotted Turkish goods and tourism. This has resulted in losses in excess of $20 billion for Turkey.

He stressed that the eastern region has prevented the entry of ships and goods from Turkey. He called on all Arab countries to follow the example of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, and Libya. He added that the Chamber had objected to the establishment of the Turkish Forum in Libya.
