The Libyan Civil Aviation Authority of the Government of National Accord (GNA) announced its approval for the return of flights from Damascus International Airport to Benina International Airport. The first flight date is set for Sunday, 29 November.

The Airports Authority of the General Authority for Transportation stated that the first flights will take place via Syria’s Cham Wings Airline. It is unclear whether the government and private Libyan airlines are involved in operating the flights.

Earlier this month, Tunisia’s Transport Ministry announced the resumption of flights between Tunisia and Libya. These had been halted for eight months due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
