The National Commission for Human Rights in Libya (NCHRL) has condemned the kidnapping of the Head of the Orthopaedic Department of Al-Khadra Hospital, Dr. Al-Siddiq Bin Dallah.

On Tuesday, unidentified gunmen in Tripoli kidnapped Bin Dallah as he was driving home on the 11 June road. In a statement, the NCHRL said that the kidnappers bear the criminal and legal responsibility for Bin Dallah’s fate, and called for his immediate and unconditional release.

The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Accord (GNA) as well as security authorities demanded an urgent intervention to release the doctor. They stressed that the escalation of kidnapping, illegal detention, and armed robbery in Tripoli has become a dangerous issue.
