On Wednesday, the Prime Minister of Libya’s Interim Government, Abdullah Al-Thinni, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdel-Hadi Al-Hwaij, to discuss the latest developments in the political arena.

In a statement, the government’s media office said that the Prime Minister was briefed on the annual report of the ministry’s work in 2020. It noted that Al-Hwaij had also presented the ministry’s draft plan in 2021 for approval.

The meeting also touched on the latest political developments in the country, as well as the minister’s recent contacts with his Algerian counterpart, and the Russian Deputy FM. Al-Hwaij confirmed their keenness to protect Libya’s unity and independence, and see an end to the crisis without foreign intervention.

The minister noted that he had stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral relations at all levels with Algeria and Russia.
