A Libyan Airlines flight carrying 264 Libyans stranded in Turkey has arrived on Friday at the Mitiga International Airport coming from Istanbul International Airport.

The first wave of Libyans stranded in Turkey had arrived on May 6th, at the Misrata International Airport from Istanbul with more than 300 citizens.

It is noteworthy that the number of Libyans stranded abroad at the beginning of the pandemic amounted to about 15,000 citizens, and it is expected that successive flights will seek to repatriate the remainder as part of the Government of National Accord’s plan implemented by the Supreme Committee to confront the Coronavirus pandemic.
