On Monday, the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced the re-formation of the management committee of the Arabian Gulf Construction Company (AGC), headed by Mohamed Shatwan.
In a statement, the Libyan NOC said that the new management committee of the AGC included Mohamed Shatwan, Chairman of the Management Committee and Awad Mohamed Ekwedir, Member of Operations, Maintenance and Refineries Affairs.
It also included Ibrahim Abdel-Jalil Al-Ghamari, Member of Engineering, Construction and Information Technology Affairs; Ahmed Al-Tayeb Abu Bakr, Member of Exploration Affairs and production, and Ahmed Younis Al-Zawi, Member of Finance, Human Resources, Transportation and Services Affairs.
The NOC added that in the implementation of this decision, the Chairman of the Board of Directors held a meeting that included the appointed Chairman of the AGC Board of Directors, Mohamed Shatwan, and the former Chairman of the Board, Salah Al-Qatrani.
During this meeting, the most important challenges facing the company and its important role in the NOC’s plan to raise production to 2 million barrels were discussed, as it is one of the most important pillars of the sector.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan NOC, Farhat Bengdara, thanked Salah Al-Qatrani for his efforts and the previous Board of Directors throughout their tenure of their responsibilities in the AGC.
Bengdara confirmed that Salah Al-Qatrani will assume several new responsibilities and tasks within the implementation of the NOC’s strategy to advance the sector and its subsidiaries.
The AGC Chairman of the Board of Directors stressed the need to pay attention to the company’s employees in all their technical and administrative positions in order to achieve the required efficiency for the company.
On his part, Al-Qatrani wished success to the new management committee and its chairman, Shatwan, stressing his support for them in their mission. He also thanked the NOC Chairman of the Board of Directors for his support throughout his presidency of the Arabian Gulf Company.
