German Ambassador to Libya Oliver Owcza welcomed the intended resumption of military talks towards a ceasefire agreement in Libya.

“This is encouraging news! We welcome the intended resumption of 5+5 military talks towards a ceasefire agreement.” Owcza tweeted on Tuesday, in response to a statement by the United Nations Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) on Monday regarding the agreement of the Libyan warring parties to resume ceasefire talks and related security arrangements.

“We encourage parties to do so in a spirit of compromise to the benefit of all Libyans. We remain committed to support these efforts!” Owcza added.
