The Libyan national football team commenced its journey to Morocco on Monday to participate in a training camp in preparation for their World Cup 2026 qualifying matches against Mauritius and Cape Verde in June.
The agenda for the training camp comprises two friendly matches, with Libya facing Burkina Faso on March 22nd and Togo on March 26th. These encounters are intended to evaluate strategies, enhance team cohesion, and gauge player preparedness for the qualifiers.
The team, comprising 27 players, includes a mix of domestic and internationally experienced players. Among the squad are goalkeepers Murad Al-Wuhayshi and Asil Al-Maqasbi; defenders Muftah Al-Darsi and Subhi Al-Dawi; midfielders Sind Bin Ali and Abdul Aziz Al-Soei; and forwards Ali Yusuf and Younes Al-Hajazi. Additional players joining the camp are Nour El-Din Al-Qalib, Belkasem Rajab, Fadil Salama, Abdelmesir Abu Sheiba, Ahmed Fakroun, Faraj Ghaithan, Almahdi Alkout, Omar Al-Khoja, Ahmed Krawa, Mohamed Al-Tabbal, Magdi Artrib, and Ahmed Saad Al-Darsi, highlighting the variety and depth of Libyan football talent.
