Libyan Prime Minister-designate Osama Hammad held discussions on the current conditions of companies that are withdrawing and facing operational difficulties, focusing on the mechanisms for disbursing their salaries as determined by the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation.

The meeting, which took place at the Prime Minister’s Office in Benghazi, was attended by Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation Abdullah Al-Sharif and the Prime Minister’s Office Director, Saleh Al-Manfi.

The media office of the Libyan government reported that during the meeting, Prime Minister Hammad was briefed on the latest developments within the ministry, covering various aspects, including the situations of the withdrawing and struggling companies and the procedures taken to disburse their salaries. Discussions also included the resolution of issues facing the General Company for Construction and Development and addressing the conditions of its employees.

An agreement was reached to develop solutions for the challenges stemming from Decision No. 210 issued by the Minister of Labor of the interim government in 2018, with direct oversight from the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Hammad affirmed his full support for the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation, emphasizing the need for fundamental solutions to address the conditions of workers in these companies.
