Eastern based government’s Health Minister, Saad Agoub, carried out a check on precautionary measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus on Friday at an isolation center in Benghazi’s Al-Kuwaifiyah Hospital.

The Minister held an extended meeting with the hospital’s director, head of the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) office in Benghazi and key ministry officials.

During the meeting, the minister stressed the importance of taking all necessary steps and measures needed to ensure Libya’s capacity to handle an outbreak. Tightening up borders, limiting air travel and ensuring necessary thermal imaging and equipment needed to check travellers health conditions are available at all ports of entry into Libya are some of said measures.
