Libya’s Deputy Prime Minister of the Parliament-designate government, Ali Al-Qatrani, inaugurated the Libya International Industrial Fair in Benghazi on Tuesday.

Organised under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry, the event aims to boost the industrial sector and attract investments from both local and international companies.

The opening ceremony featured participation from representatives of domestic and global firms, alongside several ambassadors and consuls. The government expressed its commitment to fostering a supportive environment for industries to flourish, emphasising the significance of such events in driving economic growth.

In a statement, the government highlighted the fair as a key step towards enhancing Libya’s industrial capacity and encouraging foreign and local investments. It also reaffirmed the Parliament-designate government’s focus on strengthening public-private partnerships and fostering innovation in the industrial sector.

The exhibition showcases a diverse range of products and technologies, aiming to facilitate collaborations between Libyan businesses and international investors. It also provides a platform for knowledge exchange, helping Libyan industries adapt to global standards and expand their market reach.

Observers noted the significance of hosting such events in Benghazi, a city aiming to re-establish itself as an economic hub after years of instability. The international participation reflects growing confidence in Libya’s potential as a regional investment destination.

The fair will run for several days, offering opportunities for networking, business development, and exploring future collaborations in Libya’s industrial landscape.
