A tragic incident occurred in Tarhuna, Libya, where a 47-year-old homemaker fatally shot her husband, using an AK-47 assault rifle.
The heartbreaking event unfolded after her husband remarried another woman without her approval, leading to severe emotional distress and ultimately resulting in the deadly confrontation.
The Tarhuna Security Directorate reported that the incident was promptly reported to the Daoun Police Station.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the firearm used in the murder was borrowed from the accused woman’s neighbor. The weapon belonged to the neighbor’s husband, a retired military officer, implicating the neighbor in the case.
According to information circulating on social media, the motive behind the crime stemmed from the husband’s decision to marry a second woman without the consent of his first wife.
