The Libyan Supreme Committee to Combat Coronavirus announced, on Saturday, the resumption of domestic and international air navigation.

This came during the committee’s meeting with airport officials, airlines, and handling companies.

The meeting included the chairman and members of the Supreme Committee to Combat Coronavirus, heads of the airport and civil aviation departments, boards of directors, representatives of airlines, and handling companies, to consult the possibility of re-operating flights to and from all airports.

After ensuring the readiness of the airports, the attendees agreed to operate flights and follow precautionary measures to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. They also set all requirements that would preserve the safety of citizens and workers in the aviation sector in general from contracting the virus.

The committee stressed that the resumption of flights will be in accordance with the requirements approved by the Medical Advisory Committee.
