Libyan Health Ministry Praises Initiative by Local Businessmen to Prepare a Quarantine Building to Contain COVID-19

On Sunday, Libya’s Eastern based Interim Government’s Minister of Health, Saad Agoub praised a national initiative started by

Libyan businessmen to ready a building with all equipment and medical supplies in the city of Benghazi to contain COVID-19 (commonly known as coronavirus).

This initiative came up during the minister’s meeting with the Chairman of the Consultative Committee to Combat the Corona Epidemic, Fathia Al-Araiby, and the head of Medical Devices & Equipment Suppliers Ahmed Abortima as well as several businessmen in Benghazi.

The building’s location was agreed by the Ministry of Health, in addition to the quick delivery by businessmen of devices, tools and technical parts for any maintenance needed for the building.
