Sudan to Repatriate Nationals from Libya

On Wednesday, the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) affirmed its intention to evacuate all Sudanese citizens wishing to return from Libya. For this to happen, it called on all members of the Sudanese community to directly contact the Sudanese embassy in Tripoli.

In a statement, the MoFA said that the doors of the Sudanese embassy in Tripoli were open to receive them and supervise all procedures until their arrival in Sudan. It pointed out that a batch of 143 citizens had returned from Libya on Wednesday morning.

The Sudanese MoFA, and the embassy in Tripoli have coordinated and arranged with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), the Supreme Committee for Health Emergencies, and the Federal Ministry of Health for the repatriation flights. The arrangements are currently underway to evacuate a new batch in mid-December.
