On Thursday, Nasruddin Muhanna, the head of the Health Committee for the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR), praised the Libyan National Army’s (LNA) role in responding to the emerging threat of COVID-19.

The Head of the Health Committee expressed hopes to contain infected cases rapidly thanks to quarantine facilities, along with the procedures outlined by the Advisory Committee formed by the LNA.

Muhanna clarified that the greatest threat to Libya was the illegal entry of those infected with the virus. He stressed that infected persons and anyone who has had contact with them must undergo a comprehensive medical examination and remain in quarantine.
