Algerian Foreign Minister, Sabri Boukadoum announced that Libya’s Prime Minister-designate Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba, and Deputy Head of the Presidential Council, Mousa Al-Koni will visit Algeria soon.

Boukadoum reiterated the call of Algerian President, Abdel Majid Tebboune regarding the necessity of holding elections on time. “It is likely that presidential elections will take place in Libya at the end of this year, as proposed by the Algerian President long ago.”

Earlier this month, Boukadoum and Dbaiba discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in a telephone call. He reiterated Algeria’s rejection of foreign interference in Libya’s internal affairs.

The FM said Algeria was ready to cooperate with the Presidential Council, “to achieve security and stability in Libya.”
