Libyan Horse Owner Wins at Dubai World Cup

The representative of Libya, “Secret Ambition”, achieved a big surprise in the Godolphin Mile (Mohammed Bin Rashid District 1 City) during the Dubai World Cup. He outperformed the most prominent candidates leading to a win in the second half, namely “Midnight Sands”, “Urban Icon” and “Snapper” Sinclair. ”

Irish jockey, Tudj O’Shea, led the horse “Secret Ambition” to control the race from start to finish line, and despite strong competition in the first 800 meters of “Avant Garde”, “Secret Ambition” decided the race with a time of 1:35:36 minutes, and “Golden” came Gol second and Avant Garde third.

The Dubai World Cup is a thoroughbred horse race held annually since 1996 and contested at the Meydan Racecourse. In Arabic this suggests a place where people congregate and compete, a sort of meeting point in the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The race is operated through the Emirates Racing Authority (ERA) whose Chairman is Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs of the UAE. It offers nine races, consisting of eight Thouroughbred contests and one Purebred Arabian contest.
