Libyan PM Stresses Importance of Solar Energy Project in Tajoura

Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba stressed the importance of launching a solar energy pilot project during a tour of the industrial zone in Tajoura. He said the need to develop the project to be one of the main investments in the coming phase.

During the tour that took place on Thursday, Dbaiba visited Alenma Company For Engineering Industries to follow up on the production of columns and towers. He stressed the need for cooperation with the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) in this regard.

The PM added that reviving the exhibitions and renewing their activities was important. In this context, Dbaiba assigned the Minister of Industry and Trade to coordinate with the competent authorities to revive these exhibitions.

During his Iftar with notables, members of the municipality of Tajoura, and members of the region’s parliament, Dbaiba stressed the need to support the Tajoura Industrial Research Center to carry out the work entrusted to it.
