Libyan MP: ‘Presence of Turkish Mercenaries in Libya Impedes Political Solution’

Ali Al-Saeedi, a member of Libya’s House of Representatives (HoR), said in a press statement that it is not possible to talk about a political solution in Libya as long as there are Turkish mercenaries fighting on behalf of the Government of National Accord (GNA).

Al-Saeedi said that Libyan National Army (LNA) forces had responded to breaches of the humanitarian truce by forces aligned with the Government of National Accord.

He added that military operations were ongoing in the Abu Salim axis and that airstrikes were continuing on Mitiga Airport, where Turkish forces have based their headquarters, and Misrata.
